Kristen Stewart
Kristin Stewart è nata il 9 aprile 1990 a Los Angeles dove attualmente vive con la sua famiglia. Hanno vissuto per qualche tempo nel Colorado. Il padre John Stewart è un manager e produttore televisivo che ha lavorato per il canale americano Fox. Sua madre Jules Mann-Stewart è una sceneggiatrice ed è originaria di Sydney, Australia e ha un fratello maggiore di nome Cameron.
Carriera
La carriera di Kristen inizia all'età di otto anni dopo che un agente la nota in una recita di Natale nella sua scuola. Il suo primo ruolo la vede come comparsa in una produzione della Disney intitolato Thirteen Year.
Nel 2001 viene scelta dalla regista americana Rose Troche per interpretare il ruolo di un maschiaccio nel film indipendente La sicurezza degli oggetti dove reciterà accanto ad attori del calibro di Glenn Close. Nel 2002 interpreta un ruolo di grande rilevanza nella pellicola di David Fincher Panic Room dove dividerà la scena con Jodie Foster. Il film riceve critiche positive e Kristen viene nominata al premio Young Artist Awards del 2003.
Nel 2003 interpreta il ruolo della figlia di Dennis Quaid e Sharon Stone nel thriller Oscure presenze a Cold Creek. Nel 2004 viene acclamata dalla critica per la sua interpretazione nel film tv Speak dove nonostante abbia solo 14 anni interpreta il personaggio di Melida Sordino, una ragazza che viene violentata da un suo compagno di scuola. La storia è tratta dal best-seller della scrittrice americana Laurie Anderson. e sempre nel 2004 interpreta Maddy nel film "Tre ragazzi per un bottino" Nel 2005 Stewart interpreta il ruolo di Lisa nel film fantastico Zathura - Un'avventura spaziale accanto a Tim Robbinse a Josh Hutcherson. Nonostante il film abbia ricevuto critiche positive la prestazione di Kristen non ha accoto molto l'attenzione dei media.
L'anno dopo recita in un film diretto da Griffin Dunne intitolato Gioventù violata dove recita accanto a Donald Sutherland.
Nel 2007 i registi di origine cinese Oxide Pang Chun e Danny Pang le offrono il ruolo di Jess Solomon nel film dell'orrore The Messengers. Il film riceve un gradito riscontro del pubblico ma non altrettanto dalla critica.
Nello stesso anno l'attrice americana Mary Stuart Masterson la sceglie per il suo primo film da regista intitolato The Cake Eaters e sempre nel 2007 interpreta il film romantico Il bacio che aspettavo accanto a Meg Ryan e Olympia Dukakis. Sempre nel 2007 Sean Penn la sceglie per un piccolo ruolo nel film Into the Wild - Nelle terre selvagge. Nello stesso anno partecipa al primo film cortometraggio diretto dall'attrice Kate Hudson intitolato Cutlass di cui la Hudson è anche sceneggiatrice.
Nel 2008 partecipa al film Yellow Handkerchief non ancora distribuito nelle sale dove recita accanto a William Hurt. Nello stesso anno la Stewart recita accanto ad attori del calibro di Robert De Niro, John Turturro e Bruce Willis nel film commedia a sfondo satirico Disastro a Hollywood per la regia di Barry Levinson. Il film partecipa al Sundance Film Festival del 2008 ed è stato proiettato per la chiusura del Festival di Cannes 2008.
Nello stesso anno fa un piccolo cameo nel finale di Jumper - Senza confini accanto ad Hayden Christensen. Il 2008 è l'anno della svolta per Kristen che grazie alla regista americana Catherine Hardwicke raggiunge il successo nel ruolo di Bella Swan nel film Twilight. Grazie al successo ottenuto al botteghino la Summit Entertainment ha deciso di proseguire con il sequel di Twilight intitolato New Moon dove la Stewart è stata confermata per il ruolo di Bella. Nel 2009 oltre a New Moon la Stewart lavorerà in pellicole che attualmente sono in fase di pre-produzione come Adventureland, Welcome to the Rileys e K-11, che la vedrà di nuovo a fianco della collega Nikki Reed. La trama si svolge in una prigione di Los Angeles e le due attrici interpreteranno entrambe un ruolo maschile. È inoltre entrata a far parte del cast di The Runaways, film biografico dedicato all’omonima rock-band tutta al femminile degli anni '70, nel quale interpreterà il ruolo della chitarrista cantante e leader delle The Runaways, Joan Jett.
Into the Wild
Nel 2007 il regista e attore Sean Penn la sceglie per un piccolo ruolo nel film drammatico Into the Wild - Nelle terre selvagge accanto al protagonista Emile Hirsch. Kristen interpreta Tracy, un'adolescente cantante che ha preso una sbandata per giovane avventuriero Christopher McCandless. In una recensione sul Chicago Tribune il giornalista Michael Phillips commenterà il ruolo di Kristen affermando che "esce fuori molto bene nonostante il piccolo ruolo che interpreta".
Twilight
Nel 2008 Grazie al suo ruolo in Into the Wild - Nelle terre selvagge viene notata dalla regista americana Catherine Hardwicke che la sceglie per il ruolo di Bella Swan nel film campione d'incassi del 2008 Twilight. Il film è tratto dal primo romanzo della saga di Twilight della scrittrice americana Stephenie Meyer e la Stewart interpreta il ruolo di un'umana che si innamorerà corrisposta del vampiro diciassettenne Edward Cullen interpretato dall'attore di origine britannica Robert Pattinson. La Stewart è stata confermata per il ruolo di Bella Swan anche nel sequel di Twilight intitolato New Moon già in fase di pre-produzione e previsto per l'uscita il 20 novembre 2009.

Disaster a Hollywood
E'in arrivo nelle sale Disastro a Hollywood, commedia americana che, tra
nomi di spessore mondiale quali Robert DeNiro, Sean Penn e Bruce Willis, vede tra i suoi protagnoisti anche Kristen Stewart ,in qualità di figlia di primo letto di Ben (Robert DeNiro).
Un bel salto in avanti per la carriera di questa fortunata e bravissima attrice, giovanissima ma con alle spalle importanti successi!

New teen BFFs Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning took a break between shooting The Twilight Saga: New Moon and their next endeavor, The Runaways to hit up L.A.'s legendary hotspot The Roxy on Sunset on June 9.
Kristen, 19, will be playing legendary rocker chick Joan Jett in The Runaways with Dakota, 15, as one of her bandmates Cherie Currie.
The girls arrived at the Roxy in Kristen’s car to a swarm of waiting paparazzi, causing Dakota to duck from the blinding flashes.
A Roxy Spokesperson tells RadarOnline.com that Fanning and Stewart, 19, came out to see the headlining performer, Patrick Wolf an electro-pop Brit singer.
"They were a little bombarded with cameras in the audience so we worked it out for them to watch from a backstage area," Heather Kohos tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
The Roxy is open to all ages, however the hotspot has a full bar, requiring underage clubbers to buy a food and beverage ticket to get in.

In The Runaways, Kristen Stewart interpreta la rocker Joan Jett e proprio quest’ultima ieri è andata sul set del film dedicato alla sua band tutta al femminile.
Le due, vestite in modo simile, sono scese da una Cadillac nera e sono andate insieme negli studios dove si gira il film: la somiglianza di Kristen con la rocker (nella foto piccola in basso) è notevole.
